David Muir

Founder and CEO of Alliance BD Group 

Since 2021.

  

The company was established with a clear vision to connect people and companies in the industrial construction industry, to help them secure meaningful contract opportunities. With more than two decades of experience in Business Development, David has built a reputation as a trusted connector, facilitator, and advocate across the power and energy construction sectors.

 David studied Natural Science and Mathematics at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  His professional journey began in the field as a Field Engineer and Assistant Civil Superintendent. In 2004, he transitioned into Business Development—a move that revealed his passion for building relationships and helping others succeed through strategic connections.

  

David currently resides in Cumming, Georgia with his wife Tammy and their four children.

Experience

 Over the past 24 years, David has cultivated an expansive and diverse network across utilities, municipalities, OEMs, engineering firms, and construction companies. His approach is built on integrity, persistence, and a deep understanding of the industrial construction landscape.

 David has served in key roles at several top-tier organizations including Kiewit, AMEC/Foster Wheeler, DEPCOM Power, and Robins & Morton, gaining valuable experience across a range of disciplines and capabilities. 

Notable Accomplishments

   

  • Secured partnership agreements for a client with a major EPC      contractor, covering five gas-fired power projects and future      developments.
  • Facilitated an alliance agreement between the same client and an      Independent Power Producer (IPP), positioning them for ongoing and future power project opportunities.
  • Built and maintained high-level relationships that consistently result in business wins and long-term partnerships.
